I’m excited to share that this year I’m supporting Stroke Foundation through Stride4Stroke.

In November, I’m challenging myself to be active for 600-900 minutes, to raise $500 by doing walking for 45 minutes 5 days a week to help change the face of stroke in Australia.

With 1 Australian experiencing a first time stroke every 19 minutes, I’m hoping to reduce this statistic by raising awareness and funds.

I had a stroke when I was 17 (exactly half my life ago) and I counsel and mentor multiple stroke survivors from around the world.

80% of strokes can be prevented (think smoking, blood pressure, weight management, physical activity, diabetes and alcohol), however many people aren’t aware or receiving the right help to reduce their risk.

Every donation and conversation helps reach more people. My goal to raise awareness of stroke risk factors and by raising funds to fight stroke, together, we can bring those numbers down.

This is an important cause close to my heart and I’d really love your support today, whether that be a donation or to share my story.
