The simple act of allowing your body to rest and digest post-stroke can be all that is needed in any given time to help you carry on through your day. Everything can feel quite complicated at times post – stroke and when it comes to re energising its good to keep things nice and simple.

Hi Julian. Since having a stroke in December 2022 one of the biggest challenges I have faced is knowing what I will face physically from day to day. Never having a stroke before I just don’t know how I will feel at any time. I don’t get upset at having a stroke, more a case of, it’s happened so get on with it .you can’t change history. Thankfully, and thanks to a good physio I am mobile and able to shower, etc. unassisted. I live in an over 50 village with lots of caring people around. My wife and children have been wonderful in looking after us. I have tried to join a local Stroke support group but the contacts I have been given do not answer their phone. I had hoped to go along and talk to other survivors to glean their experiences. Thank you for your very useful information
Hi Bill,
Sorry for the late reply. I completely understand where you are coming from. Stroke recovery is an extremely lonely experience, as other peoples lives don’t slow down as much as your life or other stroke survivors lives have.. It takes years for your lives to start going faster..
If you need any support feel free to comment below and I will get in contact with you directly. alternatively, go to my website (www.julianreddish.com.au) and click on “book a session” and put in your details there.
