MY STORY: FROM STRUGGLE AND LOSS TO TRIUMPH AND SUCCESS

I’m lucky to be alive.

I was 17 years old driving down a windy road in the outskirts of Sydney.

Without warning, my body went limp, and I lost control of the car. I ended up crashing into an oncoming vehicle.

Later, my doctors discovered I had a stroke which caused the car accident.

And so began 15 years of recovery which eventually led to an entirely new life.

To be sure, I’ve had a lot of dark days throughout my healing.

But I also had many times where I struggled before the stroke. As a teenager, I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). I spent far too much time home alone, exhausted and depressed.

So, I’ve certainly had my share of struggle, pain and setbacks.

And yet, through my loss and hardship, I made a choice: I chose to move forward with my life in the best way I could.

The challenges I’ve faced have enabled me to become a better and happier person. And beyond that, to discover that I wanted to become a counsellor, a career I’m passionate about.

MY MISSION: TO HELP YOU BECOME WHO YOU WERE MEANT TO BE

I’m thrilled to help people like you who are struggling with stroke recovery/management, a physical illness, an injury, or a mental health disorder. I aim to help you become the best version of yourself, whatever you want that to be.

SPECIAL INTERESTS AND PASSIONS

Since nearly losing my life, I’ve realised that the best way to live a happy and healthy life is to be open to all of life’s possibilities.

In that sense, I’m passionate about everything.

Special interests include cooking, making great coffee, meditation, personal growth, fitness, music, playing chess, living in the flow, and of course, helping others.

I work hard on my personal and professional development. I regularly take courses, read and work with a coach.

I’m creative – I have my own fashion label making women’s accessories.

I’m also a skilled barista. I can make one of the best coffees you’ve ever tasted with the use of only one hand.
