Have you ever felt sick and you went on some sort of medication and it left you not feeling your best? The world of medicine is fantastic, and we are all so lucky to have access to such incredible medicine and health systems. The world of medicine is also one fantastic business model.. I am not saying in any way shape or form to ignore what your doctor/s suggest you to do, or suggest you to take.
However, I did spend 7 months in hospital, and I did laugh regularly (thank God).. I did not plan on this, as I did not plan the stroke that I had whilst driving my car at 80kmh. However on the whiteboard in my own private room in the Brain Injury Unit (BIU) there were four words written there amongst some beautiful photographs of my family and friends… Laughter is the Best Medicine. I was fortunate enough to have at least one visitor every day for the entirety of my 7 month hospital stay. So I was surrounded by love, support and of course laughter.. However there are ways to instill some laughter in your life without these things. There are also ways to incorporate love and support into your hospital stay if your friends and/or family are otherwise busy to visit you (or someone you know that has had a stroke). Now that WiFi is so readily available in most places around the world, support can come to you easily. If no WiFi is available make sure there is reception available, and (INSERT LINK BOLD) make a booking here and a qualified counsellor, mentor and stroke survivor with 18 years of rehabilitation experience will be in contact. The qualified Counsellor/Mentor has 6 years of experience supporting other stroke survivors and their families.
By being surrounded by love and support you stand a higher chance to have access to laughter, which in turn leaves you naturally feeling wonderful. No medicine leaves you feeling 100% naturally wonderful in every way, shape and form.
