“For quite a few years now I have written long Newsletters here at Julian Reddish Health & Wellness. Initially I thought this would be fantastic for the reader, but lets be real, our lives are already so busy as it is. It’s unlikely that we’d get a chance to read the whole Newsletter. Especially in this day and age when, what our attention span is now 2 seconds I think it is due to doom scrolling..
In saying this, I now will be writing “2 minute Julian Reddish Health & Wellness Newsletters” so that you get the chance to actually read the Newsletter and then be able to take away short actionable points

“I’ve learnt that fear gets louder when we overthink. But when we take one small action – even a tiny one – fear starts to lose its grip.”
If you’re caring for a stroke survivor, fear can show up in quiet ways:
What if I get this wrong?
What if I can’t keep up?
What if things never get easier?
The mistake many of us make is trying to solve everything at once. The more we overthink, the heavier fear becomes.
Instead, ask yourself one simple question:
What is one small thing I can do today?
Maybe it’s taking a 10-minute walk, asking someone for help, or writing down the one task that matters most today. Small actions create movement, and movement helps fear lose its grip.
As a stroke survivor and someone who supports survivors and caregivers, I’ve seen this truth again and again: progress rarely comes from a giant leap. It comes from the next small step.
So if today feels overwhelming, don’t focus on the whole road ahead. Focus on the next step in front of you.
